Hello everyone! I'm back again, this time with good news! As the doodle above indicates, I've been officially discharged from the hospital and am back home in my new apartment. After two weeks, the doctors have ruled me stable enough to be on my own (mostly) so I'm currently resting and relaxing in somewhere much more comfortable than a hospital. With that said, some general updates! I am hoping to get back to updating Shaymin Café and my other projects soon. I went about two weeks without drawing so I'm currently doing personal artwork to get warmed back up. That said, my current priority is getting my commission queue and Patreon backlog handled since my being sick sorta messed all that up. I can't promise when updates will resume, but I am eager to get back to my blogs and comics again once I can. If you want details as to what all happened and how that'll impact my life going forward, I'll drop the details down below (warning for illness, hospitals, etc.), but I just want to say thank you all so much for your patience and the outpouring of support. It meant so much seeing all the love, comments, fanart, and more over these last few weeks. It really helped me keep going during the hardest times in the hospital and it means the world that everyone cared so much. So thank y'all so much and I hope to update again for you soon!

So what happened? Well essentially the short but all encompassing explanation is, I've been diagnosed Granulomatosis with polyangiitis, which is a type of vasculitis that attacks your kidneys and lungs. When I went to the hospital for pneumonia, it wasn't any sort of virus that was attacking me, it was my own body. That was early onset GPA, where my body was attacking my lungs because they saw them as foreign invaders, but while in the hospital they switched gears to my kidneys instead. Luckily they were able to catch it early but I'm now severally immunocompromised and have to be on steroids and other drugs for the next 6 months while I recover. I have to have minimal to no contact with the outside world because the drugs are going to wipe out all my antibodies in an attempt to get my body to stop trying to kill my kidneys. All things considered, I am extremely fortunate to have made it out, and I'll have to make some major lifestyle changes to cope with this since there is no cure for GPA at this time. What this means for the future of this blog, I'm not sure, but I still plan to work on it and my other projects because I love them dearly and don't plan to let some B cells prevent me from expressing my passions.

Figure I can start doing these since even if no one reads them it lets me organize my thoughts.

I've actually got a pretty decently long hit list for this year so I don't know if I'll be able to hit everyone I want but hey I'll do my best. I'm not really actively adding anyone to my hit list unless they attack me and I owe them a revenge so if you want to do that then here's my profile:

My main focus for the month is going to be Art Fight. I may pause intermittently throughout the month to do Character of the Week stuff and I have plans to do a couple personal pieces. For right now though my ask blog responses are kinda on hold. I'm hoping once Art Fight ends I'll be able to get back to it though so we can get the plot rolling on Ask Team Lightbringers since we have a few asks there that are gonna be fun to answer.

I've also slowly been working on Lucky's Travels pages, though that's on pause too for the moment for AF. It's getting increasingly tempting to just go ahead and release pages as I finish them rather than waiting until I have the whole chapter finished but I can't decide if that's a good idea or not.

Also I'm taking suggestions for comics I could spotlight in Crossroads Comics for the coming weeks so if y'all have any let me know. I'd prefer ones that haven't been featured as the thumbnail before, but given we've had over 100 issues of the column, I'm open to repeats so long as they haven't been recent.

Finally, I also threw together a Patreon a little while back. I'm not going to really push it until I get back to doing more comic/blog related stuff but for right now you can check it out if you want since it has a decent backlog of stuff already.
